Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Dades Gorges

Your 4 Days Morocco Desert trip from Marrakech begins with a pick-up from your lodging. As you leave Marrakech and travel over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass to Ait Benhaddou, your driver will make stops wherever it is most convenient for you. You can also direct him to make stops at any time.

As we arrive in Ait Benhaddou, we’ll tour the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a medieval fortified hamlet. Since 1987, Unesco has been guarding the historic Kasbah. The kasbah of Ait Benhaddou has served as a backdrop for numerous well-known movies and television shows, including Gladiator, the Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

We will travel through Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley on the way to Boumalne Gorges after lunch. We are going to a spectacular rock formation in Boumalne known as the “monkey fingers.” Go to your hotel after that. Unwind, eat, and stay the night.

Day 2: Dades Gorges ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Merzouga

The second day of your desert vacation from Marrakech will begin with a drive to Todgha Canyon, where you will get the chance to wander beneath these 300-meter-high cliffs, following a delicious breakfast in your lodging in Dades Gorges.

As you arrive in the evening at Merzouga Desert, your guide and the camels will be waiting to transport you over the Dunes to your tent, where you will spend an unforgettable night. From a high dune, you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Day 3: Merzouga ⇢ Khamlia ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Draa Valley ⇢ Ouarzazate

A stunning and glorious dawn may now be seen from the closest dune to your camp, rewarding an early rise today. Following a filling breakfast at your tent, you have the option of returning to Merzouga by camelback or 4-by-4 vehicle.

A little settlement called Khamliya, which is not far from the town, is where the Gnawa songs originate. We shall pause here to enjoy this type of Moroccan music. After that, take a trip to Rissani, which served as the starting point for Morocco’s present royal family’s caravan routes in earlier times.

We can visit the local market to see a classic Moroccan souk if it’s Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. Drive through the picturesque Draa Valley on the way to Ouarzazate. Arrive in the evening at your place of lodging in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate ⇢ Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech

We will begin our exploration of Ouarzazate, dubbed the Hollywood of Africa and the entrance to the Sahara desert, after a delicious breakfast today. This city is home to the Atlas Studios, the largest studio in Africa, and the famous Taourirt Kasbah.

Following our exploration of the city, we will travel to Marrakech by means of the Atlas Mountains, taking in the breathtaking views of Berber communities along the way. Dropping you off at your Marrakech lodging marks the conclusion of this 4 Days Morocco Desert trip from Marrakech.

Loved this experience. The camel trekking was super interesting and our guide was really friendly, knew perfectly English and was very communicative. Sandboarding is very funny. The dinner had like 4 courses and was really delicious. We drank the Berber tea, listened and danced to their music. The tent was OK, beds comfy, the camp was really nice. Breakfast was good. Definitely recommend.

Very awesome place to stay in Sahara desert! My favorite recommendation. Guys met us with Jeep in point at Merzouga city and arranged camel ride up to the camp in the desert with best sunset. It was like glamping but in Sahara! With comfortable bed with clean linens, private bathroom, hot water and everything. Very big traditional dinner and good breakfast. Drinking water. After dinner we came to campfire to listen berber songs with african drums. At the morning we met sunrise in the desert and we had sandboarding. And also guys reminded us to take some sand 🙂
